Born and based in New York City, Adriaan Doering-Dorival is a multi-disciplinary artist and craftsman whose broader work focuses on the more subtle architectures of human connection. Under his studio moniker ‘M00NBASE', his work explores identity, memory, and belonging through an abstracted, and iconographically rooted, visual language. Drawing from a mixed-racial perspective, he layers color,
fragments patterns, and employs non-conformist shapes to celebrate the spaces in between cultures, histories, and personal narratives. These are momentary interactions, inherent memories, and cultural overlaps as depicted through a blend of color, texture and form…each piece invites viewers to engage with complexity, ambiguity, and a shared human experience beyond fixed definitions.
